PTO Supported Programs & Volunteer Opportunities
All volunteers must complete a background check in order to volunteer at school, which takes 2-3 weeks to be completed. You will then be contacted by our Volunteer Coordinator and receive weekly updates of opportunities and events. We thank you for donating your time! Please find below the various opportunities available for volunteers:

PTO Meetings
Meetings have historically been held every 2nd Wednesday of the month in the school library from 7-8pm. During the COVID time, virtual meeting dates and venues for 2020-21 will be announced and posted as and when they are finalized.

Library Lunch Helper
Assist the librarian - daily shifts from 11:30 - 1:30 - sign up via Library Lunch helper.

Ring up lunch for students and help the cafeteria staff clean up daily from 11:00-1:00. No exchange of money! BSD pays the PTO $10 per shift! Sign up via Lunch Room Helper

The band Play-a-Thon is typically in early April and raises funds specifically for the band. Volunteers are typically needed to help with the St. John's Parade and the Junior Rose Parade.
